Workshops

The division of User Services, User Training and Support provides webinars, Canvas based training, in-person training, and workshops as well as customized training to suit the user's needs at Mississippi State University. These services are available at no charge to students, faculty, and staff.

In-person Administrative Banner workshops are taught every month during the calendar year except June and December.  Webinars and workshops are typically offered at the beginning of Fall and Spring semesters.  Custom workshops may be requested for a university department or group throughout the full year.

Workshops include Administrative Banner, Adobe Sign, Adobe Accessibility for Web, Attendance Tracking, Canvas, Door Manager, ITS-Supported Classroom Lectern, Microsoft Teams, Webex, or request customized training. Most of the User Training and Support offerings are taught online.  In person training is taught in the ITS User & Support Training Computer Lab located in the McArthur Hall basement. McArthur Hall is located between Scott Field and Humphrey Coliseum and is across from Giles Architecture Building. The training lab accommodates 15 with one workstation that meets ADA specifications.  The training lab has a printer, Windows workstations, electronic whiteboard, projection unit for the teaching station, and a lectern.
