Below are some of the basic functions of Outlook 2013.

The Main Window is the primary work area and can be customized in the View Tab.

Mail is stored under the Inbox.

To create a New Email, go to the Home Tab, click the New Email icon in the New Group.

To Reply to an email, click the Reply icon within the message or in the Respond Group.

To Forward an email, click the Forward icon in the open message or in the Respond Group.

To Retract an email, go to the Sent Items folder. Double click to open the message. Move Group > Actions > Recall This Message.

Add an Attachment to an email in the Include Group. Click the Attach File icon.

To Read an Attachment in an email, click the Attachment to Preview. You may also double click the Attachment to open it in an application.

To create a Signature go to File > Backstage View > Options > Mail > Signature > New.

Play Video

To conduct a Search, go to the Instant Search field, type the name or words you want to search. Outlook returns a list with your search criteria hightlighted in yellow. When you find what you are looking for, double click to open the email or view it in the Reading Pane. To close Search click the "X" in the Search Box.
