Hamburger Icon

The hamburger icon is a symbol consisting of three parallel horizontal lines (displayed as ≡) that is used as a button in graphical user interfaces. It is displayed in the top left of myState

These features are now accessible from the hamburger icon in the upper left corner of the new interface. Once the hamburger icon has been expanded the pages that were previously displayed as tabs are now displayed under the myState Pages heading.  

Any customization of tabs in version 4 were not brought over to version 5.

These features are now accessible from the hamburger icon in the upper left corner of the new interface. The Apps and Service heading displays the items previously shown as icons.

The ability to move portlets is not available in this version.

The personal announcement portlet is currently not available.

When accessing the Banner page, the most notable change is layout switching from stacked sections for each status role including student, faculty and employee to drop down menus. A person can still have multiple classifications giving them access to multiple menus.

Version 5 now allows users to store favorites or most frequently used Banner menus on a pull-down menu. To add a favorite select the star next to the option in the dropdown menu. Once a star has been selected the option then appears on the favorite dropdown menu. Favorites can be added and deleted as needed.

Exchange is are now accessible from the hamburger icon in the upper left corner of the new interface. Under Apps and Services, click on Exchange. 

eForms  is are now accessible from the hamburger icon in the upper left corner of the new interface. Under Apps and Services, click on eForms. 

Next to the favorites dropdown menu is the search function which uses autocomplete suggestions for example if you type MSU you are given all options containing MSU in the title. These options are displayed in a results box. By clicking one of the results a window appears with the Banner information
