University Policies

Please review these university policies applicable to the development of myCourses courses:

Procedures

There are three types of myCourses courses, Academic, External and Development. All Academic courses are automatically created when a course is marked in Banner to use myCourses. Courses can be marked by logging into myState, selecting the Banner tab, and following the link under Class Management.

External myCourses
The purpose of the External myCourses instance is to host all courses that are not in the Academic instance. For example, professional development and seminar courses will be hosted on this instance. An External myCourses course must be requested in order to be created. These courses need to be authorized by a Dean or Director.

Development myCourses
The purpose of the Development myCourses instance is to host courses that are in development for use on the Academic instance. Development myCourses courses must be requested in order to be created.
