Wireless Network Configuration Details
The MSU wireless network historically has been based upon a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to ensure security and privacy. While this mechanism is still supported, a better method for using the MSU wireless network is now available. Systems that support 802.1x authentication can take advantage of this newer technology while older systems can still utilize the VPN technology. These instructions, along with manufacturers’ documentation, can also be helpful in configuring other types of systems that support 802.1x.
