GroupWise Messenger
GroupWise 6.5 includes a secure, open standards-based and policy-based
instant messaging application that allows users to communicate in
real-time, permitting faster decision making while protecting information
behind a firewall. Users can determine personal availability, communicate
and save text conversations.

- Spam free unlike MSN, AOL and Yahoo Messengers
- Conversations are secure and encrypted
- Does not interfere with other Messengers
- Exclusively for MSU Faculty, Staff and Students
- No account to set up, just use your NetID and NetPassword

System requirements for Windows:
These are the minimal system requirements for GroupWise Messenger:
- Windows 98 on Pentium 133 or higher with 48MB of RAM
- Windows NT on Pentium 133 or higher with 64MB of RAM
- Windows 2000 on Pentium 200 or higher with 128MB of RAM
- Windows XP on Pentium 300 or higher with 128MB of RAM
- 60MB of free disk space
GroupWise Installation Steps:
- After downloading the GroupWise Messenger application, locate
and double-click on the GroupWise Messenger executable (.exe).
- The installer will automatically install the appropriate
components.
- To open, click on the Start menu button, then Programs,
then Novell GroupWise, then GroupWise Messenger.
- Within the GroupWise Messenger login dialog box, type your
NetID into the User ID: textbox.
- Type your NetPassword within the Password: textbox. If
you do not know your NetPassword or need to change it, please
contact the Help Desk at 325-0631.
- Note: The NetID is your unique identifier for
accessing a variety of information technology resources at MSU.
NetID's are displayed on MSU ID cards(since April 2001).
